译文
柳塘西处，莲叶田田，莲花清丽，风轻雨疏，夕阳西斜。
花白的头发上戴着竹箨冠，拄杖出行，又被困湿滑的春泥。
彩虹倒映在水中，仿佛在饮溪水，路边的茅草也新长出了嫩芽。
此时鹁鸠正在动听地歌唱，我已不打算再去过孤山放鹤的隐逸生活了。

箨（tuò）：竹笋的皮。
荑（tí）：茅草的嫩芽。
雨余小步鉴赏
“莲花莲叶柳塘西”，点明“小步”的地点，并描写出雨后莲塘的美丽景象，两个“莲”字连用，具有音韵之美，也暗示了对美景的喜爱。“疏雨疏风斜照低”点明“小步”的时间，并通过对风轻雨疏、夕阳西斜的景象，渲染出春雨初霁之时明丽、清新的氛围。颔联描写作者头戴竹箨冠、手柱桃枝杖被困春泥的情状。颔联选取了“垂虹”“砌草”等常见而富有特色的景物进行描写，细腻生动，情景交融。尾联写诗人为鹁鸠动听的蹄叫打动，而不打算过孤山放鹤的隐逸生活，表达了自己对当下生活的喜爱之情。

王夫之（1619年10月7日－1692年2月18日），字而农，号姜斋、又号夕堂，湖广衡州府衡阳县（今湖南衡阳）人。他与顾炎武、黄宗羲并称明清之际三大思想家。其著有《周易外传》、《黄书》、《尚书引义》、《永历实录》、《春秋世论》、《噩梦》、《读通鉴论》、《宋论》等书。王夫之自幼跟随自己的父兄读书，青年时期王夫之积极参加反清起义，晚年王夫之隐居于石船山，著书立传，自署船山病叟、南岳遗民，学者遂称之为船山先生。
